Is this what youth is?
A technocolour dance. A rainbow shattering. The wind without her whisper.
It’s falling in and out of love like downloading the latest iPhone update. Treating love as something that we simply deserve, foolishly blind or maybe by choice we have our eyes tight shut to the tragedy of love. We pretend that it’s not hard work, and fear the day it becomes that.
It’s sleepy mornings because of early nights that turned into watching the sun rise on a world we are all pretending to understand.
It’s bonfires, stupid movies, lollipops and the grown up version of friendship bracelets…spin-the-bottle mistakes and guilty 2AM confessions.
But it’s so alive.
It feels like fire is surging through the strings that connect our hearts to our brains. That adventures are leaking out from under our skin, skin that still isn’t quite used to being touched.
A religious, LSD, whirlwind way to live….
